Your question actually prompted me to measure myself to see if I had grown or shrunk any in the past 15 years. Nope. Still 5-foot-11 and about a third. So not tall-tall, especially when one of my best friends is 6-foot-4. But tall enough… (Landon Donovan is only 5-foot-8).
I first got into running senior year of high school, I guess 1990? But it was something I did off-and-on for many years. It’s tough to run through a New England winter! But in 1999 I was inspired to train for my first marathon and have been basically “on” ever since.

Um. I have been trying to dress well the past year or so, but I don’t actually get manicures or expensive haircuts. I just go to my barber. So I would say no I am not a metrosexual (“not that there’s anything wrong with that”) although I have been accused of being one.

No, I said I hadn’t dated anyone born in Africa (or a recent descendant). Are you using the terms African and African-American interchangeably? That is a bit offensive. Most American blacks have been in this country for generations, often before the Civil War.

Okay Hamptons, I will answer one of your questions. I think the real question is, have I ever had a meaningful conversation with a woman from Africa? At Vassar I was v. good friends with a guy from Kenya, the son of Kenya’s ambassador to the UK. (He grew up in London). I imagine there must have been African woman at Vassar, but I am drawing a blank as to whom. And I don’t think I’ve met any since.
