Scientists recently discovered an ice shelf bigger than Manhattan snapped off an island near the North Pole 16 months ago and are worried it could drift into shipping lanes. All the glaciers in Glacier National Park could be gone by 2030. The Arctic Ocean could become devoid of ice by 2040, scientists say. It’s pretty crazy. You kinda think this is the sorta thing we could figure out how to fix, if everyone put their heads together… I wonder how Jor-El felt, when he was trying to warn everyone Krypton was about to explode, and no one listened?

As for the global warming debate, when I was in Patagonia I saw pictures of the glaciers a mere 5 or 10 years before, and the difference was scary. The worst part is that we know how to fix it, but the worst offenders – the US and China, in particular – won’t even come to the table.
