The little coneheaded, newly-neutered kitties are back at Chez Rose. I guess they have to keep the lampshade thingees on for a week. They have been much more lackadaisical since their return and even let me have a good night’s sleep last night — something that’s been pretty rare since they got here, actually….
Homophobe! Shame Shame Shame!
Iz was not laid-back at all when he got his spark plugs out, and he didn’t need to wear a cone. Different operation, I wonder?
Your cats are way laid back — when Kitty had her cone she really stuggled with it.
Hey $350 each seems way expensive — are NY Vets that much more expensive than the rest of the world? Neutered baby cats was a standard from the shelters in NC — and those cats were under $50.
yeah….my NYC shelter cat was spayed, microchipped and vaccinated for free. In fact, sterilization is the law in NYC now for adoptions.
see NYC animal care and control website
why did you wait so long to get your cats spayed or neutered?
I think maybe the shelters must subsidize the cost for shelter cats? These were newborns a NY Post photographer acquaintance found on the street.
I did try to get them neutered earlier but the vet said they needed to be six months old. (I’ve since read on the Internet that other vets will do the operation earlier). Now they’re eight or nine months old; I guess I was busy with the holidays and new job n’ all when they turned six months.
