So the plasma TV got here the other day. Samsung HP-T5054 via Amazon … $1800. I will be paying it off for awhile but that’s OK. It is a very beautiful television, very sleek and stylish with great picture quality. I still need to figure out how I am going to mount it, with a stand or on the wall somehow. But v. nice.
How is that thing standing now, and is that really a cup of liquid sitting on top of a $1800 piece of electronics?
No, that is just an empty cup I balanced on top so viewers could see how big it is. Otherwise it could be any size.
It is just sitting on the floor now. (It comes with a basic stand to keep it upright).
Use a stand. I read mounting in the wall can do some nice damage.
Ditto to Dylan’s comments. Mounting a flat-panel TV on the wall is expensive and requires some heavy-duty work to your walls. It’s great if you own the place and are ready to make the long-term investment, but a stand works just as well and usually includes a rack to store your DVD player, etc.
