So as a journalist my attitude is just to more to take a step back and watch history unfold than get involved with things like voting, marches, petitions, etc. And while I’m not going to pretend I have no political views, I don’t really consider myself a “political” person.
But… my good friend MM lives down in D.C. Tallman and I owe him a visit (the three of us went to college together). Tallman has a car and roadtrips are always fun. It’d be a little weird just watching the inauguration as a member of Joe Q. Public rather than a reporter with a press pass, but … why not? We don’t even have inauguration tickets, and may end up watching it at a bar or something if it’s really that cold and crowded. But I expect to be documenting the trip here and on twitter.
