Twitter Updates for 2009-07-12

  • up early for the #nyrr long training run. plan is to run 11 at 8:30 pace, then see how I feel for final 9. #
  • finished #nyrr long training run in central park. 8:30s for first 12 miles, abt 8:15s for 13-16 and 7:50s for final four. feel sore but good #

    Wow, that seems really good for 20 miles. I didn’t know you were still doing enough long distance work to be able to do that. I thought it was more yoga and crossfit these days. How’s the knee?

  • I actually have not been to Crossfit in months. I really like it, but they moved to another location that was a little further from my work, and it just wasn’t as convenient.

    I did really cut down on the running over the winter. Running isn’t as fun when it’s painful to be outside. But now that it is great out I am back to running a lot and put myself in training mode for the Portland (Ore.) Marathon about a month ago.

    No problems with the knee! It is great. Actually I think the yoga (maybe especially the bikram yoga) helped it.
