Just three days until my New Zealand trip! I’ll be gone for over three weeks. It’ll be the the first time I’ve seen my mom in two years! I actually don’t have too much planned for the trip. Meeting my friend Rich for some good tramping (hiking) action Feb. 14-18. Perhaps in the Abel Tasman National Park, although we haven’t quite decided. I’m flying in to Christchurch to see my mom, but will surely make it up to Dunedin and Christchurch as well. Have made arrangements to watch the Super Bowl with my uncle and an American from Operation Deep Freeze, the U.S. operations in Antarctica. (All the flights to Antarctica leave from Christchurch). Other than that, my schedule is pretty open. Maybe I’ll do a bit of solo tramping.
