Some photos from last weekend’s race….
I did 17 in the park today but felt weak. WEAK. (to paraphrase an email thisfish sent me this week). 55:03 & 1:01:21 for the first two six-mile loops, then 56:59 for the last five. What was the matter with me???
Try eating. Really. I was cheap at work today and tried to skimp on lunch. Ten miles later, I was ready to pass out. I actually ran faster than I thought I would, but it was the slowest long run I’ve had in a while, even though it was the first in a long time that was on flat ground.
What’s on your racing agenda, BTW? Marathon? Half? Schmoozing with celebrities?

I admit, I hadn’t eaten that well. Stupid.
The racing plan …basically, it’s to train and train and train, and take on a marathon when I’m ready to run a Boston-qualifying 3:10. I registered for New York the other day, but that’s more of a back-up — not the easiest course, and a crowded start.
What’s your plan?
Schmoozing with B-list celebrities and hoping one of them offers me a job. You know, as like a pinch runner or a foot courier or something.
