hurricane wilma

My friend Matt in Boston just out this email:

With all the media reports about Hurrican Wilma turning into a nor’easter with floods and wind damage across New England, I thought I’d go outside and photograph some of the damage first-hand. Brace yourself– this was taken right here in Somerville:

Makes you cherish what you have, doesn’t it?

  • LOL! That is hilarious. I really did laugh out loud and now everyone at work thinks I’m nutty. Thanks for the laugh!

  • More data (rainfall soundings)

I don’t want to be one of the people whining about the weather, so I’ll just offer a few observations. This cross-country season must be a wreck. I’ve been to two meets so far, and neither have been safe without…

  • this was done before – and to better effect – several hurricanes ago. The lead-in was better, more heart-wrenching, and the pic was on a website link, not in the email, so the reveal had the right effect. And the chair was…well, a cheesier chair in a funnier position…

Sorry, just had to point out there’s nothing new under the sun.

    /back in MY day….
