So I trek back out to the Elizabeth, N.J. IKEA yesterday to pick up the midbeam section of my new bed they forgot to include last week. While I’m there decide to get a sofa-type thing they call a Tylosand. I am a little nervous driving back with it on the top of my car, but manage to get it home alright. Open it up … and they didn’t include the cushion-covers! ($89). WTF, wtf, wtf.
That is fucking hysterical. But maybe that is their business model. Maybe they figure if you come back, you will buy something else. Hey it worked the first time.
West Elm is where you should be shopping anyway. You can do that right here in the City in Chelsea.
Rose, if you really need furniture, remember that God invented Craigs List for a reason.
Ugg.. IKEA’s pretty clear on what comes with what. Read the labels!! If there are a variety of cushion-covers available for the sofa, then they probably don’t come with it and need to be purchased separately – options!
I bet if you go back again (sorry if you have to..yikes!), and look at the bed you bought, it’ll say on the tag that you need to pick up the midbeam in a separate location from the bed. Even the IKEA website id’s the mid-beam must be bought!!
