Earlier today I had lunch at Vynl with Frank Myers of the Citizen Frank blog and his wife Renee. Eighteen months ago he an Army reservist was practicing law in Birmingham, Ala. when the Army called him up and sent him to Iraq to work on the reconstruction. I found his primary 2008 blog when he was over there and we ended up corresponding a little. (He trained for the S.F. marathon while in Iraq, by running an 0.9-mile loop around his office complex!)
Anyway, he just returned less than two weeks ago and was taking Renee to New York and Paris for their 10th wedding anniversary. It was super-cool to meet him, and very interesting to hear his stories of Iraq. But I’ll let him tell those tales himself.
So why does he look so comfortable and you so frigid cold?
Ha! He was the one that was cold, being from the South and having lived the past 18 months in Iraq (and coming back to the U.S. the past two Julys). But it does look like that, doesn’t it?
