I’ve been in Hell’s Kitchen six months now … and gosh, boy do I love it here. Some of the reasons why:
- Running in Central Park every morning. It’s like a mile from my door.
- Seeing docked cruise ships when I step out the door in the morning. (picture taken from my window).
- Being around the corner from a great bar like Perdition, and easy walking distance from the Mercury Bar, which is also excellent.
- Great restaurants like Vynl, Xing, Queen of Sheeba and Blue Chili.
- Even swankier restaurants like Taboon and 44 & X.
- Ruby et Violette — cookies!!!
- The Time Warner Center and all its shops.
- Biking to work in the mornings.
- There’s a lot going on on Ninth Ave., but not many tourists or people from outside Manhattan.
- I can hop on the C/E and be in the West Village or the Meatpacking District in 20 minutes from the time I walk out the door.
- There’s still an awful lot to explore. There’s still a restaurant/bar half a block from me I haven’t stepped foot in.
