So a few months ago I posted this photo of six kids in a wagon …
I was the one in the top right. My brother Adam is in the bottom left. The rest are the children (and a niece) of my “Aunt” Polly, the woman my mother stayed with as a New Zealand exchange student to the United States in 1963. We thought of each other basically as cousins, since we were all the same age. However we pretty much lost touch when my parents moved away when I was in third grade.
Anyway, now my mom is back visiting — her first time in the States in 20 years! — so we are seeing them again.
Here is me and Jana, the blonde girl in the center of the wagon, with her four girls:
Jeffrey, the boy on the left in the wagon, has two kids and is building this mucka-big house by hand a short walk through the woods from his mother’s house. He is a call fire lieutenant and dept. of public works director in the tiny southeastern Massachusetts country town where they live.
No particular point to this post, but it is interesting how different different people’s lives end up, no? (Can you tell my mom has been needling me about the fact that I am as old as they are and haven’t settled down at all?)
Anyway, if anyone is interested my brother has posted more photos to his flickr photostream here.
Cute!
Who’s the little blonde in the blue shirt? she’s kinda hot!!
got any pics of her in a swim suit??
