So I just got back from watching “The Passion of the Christ” (with a Jewish state assemblyman, the son of Holocaust survivors). It’s a very very powerful film — and then some. High production values, good acting, extraordinarily graphic violence.

But yeah, I have to think it may well incite some anti-Jewish violence. Not all Jews are portrayed as evil in the film — there’s that one guy, Simon whathisname, who bears Jesus’ cross for him — but jeez, the way the Jewish high priests are portrayed? Eeesh.
