So from Sept. 10-18 I will be taking care of this cute-as-can-be Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy, Kaylie McCay. Who was imported from Ireland! And is just about three months old! And is not completely housebroken!

That that last one was proven tonight as my friends K. and E. brought her over to see how she’d do with the kitties Papi and Coco. Kaylie was her playful self — and peed on the rug — but the kitties scrammed. Later they came to watch this stranger romp through their home and got their fur up a bit …but nothing too bad. My apartment has lots of high places where they can feel safe from the marauding puppy.

Here is a beach photo of Kaylie for all you puppy-lovers. I do not recommend letting puppies jump in the water tho as Kaylie got so! cold! The poor doggie was shivering and shivering from her brief exposure … and the water wasn’t even that cold. But she is just a little thing and I guess loses her body heat quickly.

  • Sooooo cute! Personally I’m not a huge fan of spaniels, but I love all dogs when I meet them in person. I just dog-sat a dane/blacklab mix named Maggie who was a little older and therefore also was a little leaky sometimes =P
