It was a good idea three and a half ago, and it’s a good idea now … Could we ever make a better permanent Sept. 11 memorial than the Tribute in Light, the twin beams of light that illuminate New York ever year about this time?
But Bloomberg has said leaving the lights on year-round would cheapen the memorial (“And if you have them every day, they just become another thing. And you know, less is more. It really is.”)
… Now that I think about it, he may be right.
