So training started Monday for the N.J. Marathon, and I was v. excited about it… actually following a training schedule this time, instead of just doing my own thing.
So then just 10 minutes into my third day of training, I’m running along behind the World Financial Center and I twist my ankle in one of their unmarked flower beds in the concrete.
Arrrggh. Usually I am pretty good about preventing myself from rolling my ankle. I have been running long enough that I know what to do — snap the other foot down real fast. But not this time. Fuuuck.
I was so excited about starting my training!
But I limped home and wrapped it up and was able to complete my workout on an elliptical trainer … still, I think I’ll be limping around for a couple more days. Gack.
Hope your ankles ok…?
BTW – I am doing NJ this year as well… Good luck with your training.
