To celebrate the Sox’ dramatic victory against Tampa Bay last week, I ordered a Tao xm2go, a portable satellite radio receiver that’ll allow me to listen to every Major League Baseball game. It arrived today:
So far seems very cool, although I have no way of comparing it to the other two portable XM receivers on the market. I bought it off eBuyer for $199, significantly less what other stores were charging. ($12.95/mo. subscription also needed). So far in my limited testing around 450 w. 33rd St., it works great: needs the (included) external antenna indoors, but works fine without it outside. Sound quality is very good. I’ll likely have to clutch it in my hand or maybe buy an armband holder if I want to run with it, though.
Yes!! Now I know what to get my dad for X-Mas!
