I think it’s safe to say this now — since Tuesday I’ve been in Williamsport, Pa. to cover the Mid-Island All-Star of Staten Island play in the Little League World Series! It is beautiful here. Last night there was a parade, thousands of people cheering for these 12-year-olds floating down downtown on a flatbed truck. Here’s a story someone wrote about it for one of NYC’s papers. I will be here at least until Tuesday, depending on how well the team does.

Back here in old NZ your brother isaac is in the rugby development squad for the under 16 year olds. His team won today, in a tough game, and Isaac will take you to a Rugby game if you are ever here at the right time, and try to convert you from Baseball. How are the Sox going? And are Papi and Coco being well fed while you are away????

I have watched a bit on ESPN but they don’t show much of the press box. They seem more interested in reactions from parents than from the press, so haven’t been able to catch a view of you.
I’m glad you’re having a good experience. YOu do seem to get these assignments to cover sports when they don’t want to send the regular sports reporters.
